Born in California, Taylor grew up in Butler, Pennsylvania. She began her love for performing at Lee's School of Dance, and Lisa Marie's School of Dance, under the mentorship of Meredyth Casey. It was there she realized that dance was something to pursue full time.
At 18, she moved across the state to begin her college career at Temple University in Philadelphia. There she studied both Dance and Advertising as a double major and graduated with her degrees in January 2015.
At Temple, she has had the opportunity to work with incredible artists and teachers; Dr. Kariamu Welsh, Jillian Harris, Dr. Laura Katz-Rizzo, Merian Soto, Beau Hancock, Kyle Clark, Dr. Sherril Dodds, Saleana Pettaway, Kavin Grant, Kyle Abraham, and Larry Keigwin just to name a few.
Living in Philly, she became very involved with the hip-hop dance scene. She was a member of D2D: Dare to Dance, Temple's official dance crew, and has trained with IAMPHRESH, under the direction of Smart Mark and Shanika Boston.
In 2012, Taylor was selected for Broadway Dance Center's Summer Professional Semester. There she trained in the Big Apple with renowned choreographers like Sheila Barker, Ricky Hinds, Jim Cooney, Sheryl Murakami, Neil Schwartz, Jared Jenkins, Danielle Polanco, Mishay Petronelli and Cat Cogliandro. Taylor was also one of the 40 dancers selected for the first ever ARCHCORE40 intensive, created by Jennifer Archibald.
Taylor moved to NYC in January 2015. She is currently signed with CESD TALENT AGENCY. She has gotten the pleasure to work under the direction of Brinda Guha with Kalamandir Dance Company on numerous projects and loves immersing herself in Guha's contemporary Indian dance style. She has been training with Luam Keflezgy through her Rock The Industry Program. Since her move, she has been featured as a dancer on ABC's "The View," a TV pilot directed by Rachelle Rak, and a music video directed by Emil Nava. She has been featured as a model in DSW advertisements for Vans, a commercial web video for Laura Mercier Cosmetics, a model for the CoverGirl PDA campaign, and in a print advertisement for Apple. She has performed for Broadway Bares: Strip U in a piece choreographed by Kellen Stancil and John Alix, under the direction of Nick Kenkel, as well as a dancer for the Nintendo Super Mario Launch choreographed by Derek Mitchell. She was a dancer in an SNL skit "Press Conference", danced behind DJ Khaled for MTV's TRL premiere, and danced in a BIRA beer commercial choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby. Most recently she was a featured dancer in CBS's "Tell Me A Story" directed by Liz Friedlander, as well as SNL's skit "Political Musical" featuring Jonah Hill & Kate McKinnon, choreographed by Nick Kenkel.
Through her experience and all her training in New York, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, she has refined her skills as an artist, dancer, choreographer, and performer. She continues to do so because she believes that one should, "always remain a student." Taylor is heavily influenced by hip-hop, musical theater, and contemporary movement and hopes to create work that is a visually stimulating and entertaining experience.
